Question around Samsung SyncMaster 912N Monitor?

I own a Samsung SyncMaster 912N Monitor - It is excessively hard on my eyes.

Questions

1) for the time I hold on to my current monitor - how can I adjust my monitor to make it easier on my eyes. I turned on cleartype, used to the refresh rate and brightness already

2) what genus of monitor should I buy that will be easier on my eyes?

thanks

Answer:

You may not requirement to buy something brand new. Many computer shops enjoy aftermarket anti-glare screens. Basically it is a picture or mesh screen that you attach to the front of you monitor and it cuts down the scowl. Some types also block harmful UV Radiation. Here is some info below at the first association.

The second link is underlying ergonomics, perhaps that will serve without have to purchase anything extra
set your resolution to a lower number..you are probably set to 1024 x 768 which may not be the best for your eyes.

800X600 may be better on the eyes, but you may notice you hold less definite estate on the screen

You may want to look at a larger format blind 17 or higher. LCD's hold come down considerably. My CEO purchased a 24 display for just this idea..it is a monster screen, but manifestly better on the eyes and you can keep the 1024 x 768 resolution short eye strain.
