My LCD Monitor is starting to flicker on my HP Computer near Windows XP. What is wrong?

Answer:

Always look for the cheapest solution first. Many of the power cable on these monitors are mounted vertically and can wiggle loose over time. Turn everything past its sell-by date and completely pull out the power cord. Inspect for dust and replace firmly, both ends.

Do matching with the VGA cord.

If that doesn't solve it, see if some clean change contained by resolution was created by you or your software, any on purpose or by quirk. If it's not the native resolution of the monitor brand, then expect flickering and other trouble. The home-grown resolution is the best setting for that monitor and can usually be found in the guide.

Other than that, all monitors do hold some level of duration expectancy, and it could simply be the bulbs in the rear legs of the monitor are dying. Depends on the age and the amount of time it's on every day...

Good Luck... :)
conceivably its dyin .. try uninstalling the driver and redoing it first though ...
It could be a couple different things:

1.) a Bad or Damaged LCD/Internal Part.

2.) A Bad or Damaged VGA cable.

3,) A Bad or Damaged Graphics Card.
