My monitor is not displaying my colors right?

I own a Compaq MV540. It is on 16 bit. Some colors like wan, black, blues , green don't show up correctly. What should I do?

Answer:

if you`r sure that your graphic card and softwares own no problem then check the cable and pins and sockets of your monitor and pictographic card. check the connections.

you can test your computer beside another monitor to find out whats the source of problem.

also there are tons softwares that benchmark or test hardwares; such as Sandra.

if your monitor is incorrupt try to check the nouns between graphic card and motherboard. next try to change or update your softwares. reinstall or update window.

updating graphic card driver and using ultimate directX resolve display problems most of the times.
You need to check your display settings.

Go to your desktop and right click and stir to properties. Click on display properties and look for style setup. Look at colors and see if you can go more than 16 bit which it sounds close to you are setting at. If this is the only setting after you need to update your device drivers
