My monitor won't communicate near the CPU!?

my PC is roughly 5 years old. We have a new motherboard installed professionally 2 years ago. Since afterwards we have have problems with the computer. Our nouns card wouldn't work, the internet would die, and many others. roughly speaking 5 months ago the monitor and CPU wouldn't communicate. I would turn off the computer, reboot it and everything would nouns like it be working. THen the monitor would turn on and say: bad mode in 5 second, the monitor would then shut bad. We have tried connecting the monitor beside other CPU's and it has worked fine. Do you own any idea on why the CPU might not be working near any monitors??
