My standard Dell monitor suddenly developed a washed out tint to it and I can't correct it. Any design?

- make sure its connected tight

- try monitor on different computer

- check video card on notebook, is in slot and not loose

- enigmatic inteference (speakers nearby) ?
degauzze the monitor
You say you can't correct it but in attendance are settings which can establish the color intensity, contrast and hue. Check those.
You can try doing a degauss...that is a reset of the color guns. Use the buttons on the front of the monitor to navigate the menus and you should find it as an preference (it might be under extra settings or something similar to that.)

If that doesn't work...it may be time for a new monitor. They enjoy gotten very cheap in our time.
I would check your computer video cable. Mine just did duplicate thing today and when I touched the cable it go away. It could just be a lose nouns. It could also be you have a bleak cable.
K. On the monitor there a four buttons within the bottom right press the menu button then use the + and - buttons 2 turn 2 image or color settings and U should be competent 2 go from in that.
Sounds like one of the guns (if this is a CRT monitor not a LCD monitor) is failing. THere are 3 colours contained by a CRT red, green and blue. by mixing these colours you get your picture. Blue and green bring in yellow so any they are very giant in intensity or the red have dropped. Take it to a TV repair shop or purchase a new LCD monitor (LG have the best for the buck with their L1753/L1953 monitors.
