Port for the monitor?

how much do you infer it would cost to replace it.

i think it may call for replacing, i yanking out the blind without unscrewing the plug, and its broken stale the board. well done me.

am on my laptop at the moment.

or would i hold to get my motherboard replaced. if so how much would this cost?

Answer:

if the plug is on your mother board but your laptop boots ok

you can just find a pci card there cheap

otherwise your screwed
Ouch. Motherboard replacement, probably the safest and best mode to go if the port be actually ripped rotten the motherboard. Cost depends on the brand and type motherboard $40 and up. Don't quote me. Although when replacing the motherboard, an opportunity to significantly upgrade your computer becomes available.

A possible alternative is to find an video card if your computer has a slot undo. I don't recommended this because a broken port probably has unscrew metal ends, which is a risk for electrical shock. Also the configuration might have to be done through the first video(broken) to switch the the second video.

Recheck if the motherboard video port is in actuality broken or the monitor cable is broken.
