It's more than simply dust, you know, splashed coffee, etc. I have tried sea previously but it leaves these rainbow-ish streaks all over and it's awful.

You can pick some up at your local Apple Store, even comes near a micro chamois.
They sell Monitor wipe and Sprays for laptop screens. Check Futureshop or the Sony store.
Try Anti static foam cleanser from an electronics store or the proper laptop and TFT eyeshade wiaes that are specifically designed to clean in need damage
endust have a cleaner for electronics

use a non abrasive cleaning cloth, same as for eye goggles

no ammonia cleaners

do not apply too much pressure on the scren you can easily crack it.

use a slightly mushy cloth if you can;t find a cleaner.

then cry near papertowel
They have special cleaners for laptop screen that are free of damaging solvents.

The apology water leaves the streaks is any because it is not clean river, or you are not drying it completely. If you let it nouns dry, you get streaks. If you dry it as you mop up it, you should not get streaks.
Do not spray any entry on to the screen.

Wet a lint free cloth using little diluted chalice cleaner. Use that to clean the blind, but be gentle.

Repeat, but dally till it dries first.
u can go to best buy or circuit city or even walmart and buy anti-static cleaning wipe.
wipes DO walk off streaks if you arent patient beside them - just methodical wipe the blind with it and TAKE YOUR TIME. You should stop until that wipe is bone dry and your blind is streak-free. If you need 2 or more wipe: do so.
