Answer:

If you're going into clear design you're going to want an LCD screen. Yes, near is a risk of dead pixels but this is what extended warranty are for!

LCD's are ALOT easier on your eyes but the resolution is better as well the the subtlety of the colours. Also, a macbook pro is the opening to go for any clear designer!

I have be doing business identies and graphic design for the ending three years and there is nother better than working on an LCD eyeshade.
not sure where you are getting your infomration..

but on both the 15 and 17 macbook pro the peak is a tft screen w/ recommended glossy peak..

I'd say contained by either luggage, go w/ the sleek screen. It'd be cheaper though to take the 15 and an external monitor capable of DVI to be precise 19-22 in size unless you wallow in photo editting on a 16:9 screen.
If you are going to be using it primarily for clear design, I recommend the 17 glossy widescreen. The shiny finish is ideal for emblem editing graphic design. The basic advantage next to the new 15 display is that it is backlit beside LEDs instead of fluorescents, so it consumes less power. Also, the LEDs don't contain any mercury, so they are better for the environment. But as far as the actual display capability, the 17 glossy is best for a professional clear designer.
