What is the reccomende distance to sit away from a 17 lcd eyeshade on a laptop?

Answer:

Unlike the behind the times CRT's, it doesn't matter near an LCD screen. Whatever is comfortable for you.
They are not prearranged to give bad any harmful radiation so any position or distance you are comfortable contained by is fine. Avoid eye strain though by taking a 5 min break every hour to allow your eyes to adjust themselves. Or you may end up contained by glasses faster than you want!
ah...an arm's length.
no problem it won't do anything to u
arms lengh
1.5x to 2x the eyeshade size is a good rule.
Ive be a computer user at work and home since 1990, Ive always be told the rule of thumb is, if you have to turn your boss to look at any portion of the screen, consequently move back till your eyes can focus on anything contained by view short turning your head. 17 Is a great size, when going larger, 20/21 it become difficult regardless of distance to not turn your head to look at portions of the blind. Guess this is the one case where on earth bigger is not always better LOL
no more than 100 inches or smaller number than 80 inches
