u could have video settings wrong or too soaring for ur graphics card .. the driver could be messed up .. or power settings could be wrong ..
inverter is on thew way out... Sorry

From what you own said though, it may be a screensaver that comes on when you don'y use it for a while. Disable any screen saver that you may have. And for the certainty of it not coming on after is weird..I don`t know run your antivirus software just within case.

Its call 'sleep mode'. LCD's do that to save perkiness. it's normal, of late shake the mouse or hit a key and it will turn support on.
