What is VGA (HD 15) and do I own it?

I want to buy a clean TFT to go next to an old PC. I hold a VGA socket, but most of the TFTs say that they enjoy DVI or VGA HD15 connectors.



Is VGA HD15 just another nickname for VGA (like we had surrounded by the 1980s/90s), or is it something different/incompatible?
