When i turn on my computer it works but the monitor won't turn on the lead simply blinks.?

i tried my monitor on another computer and it would'nt work.

Try switching the cord that go from you pc to your monitor near your power cord. Once mine did that and even though these cords are exactly alike, just switching them solved the problem. Hope this help.
You might want to check to see if the monitor cable is connected properly into your computer. Make sure your computer is not in sleep mode also..Two devout places to start.
Unplug it completely and let it sit for a hours of daylight. When it is unplugged, push the power button. Once all power is gone from it, it resets itself and (if it isn't completely dead) it should work.
